Explore Your Goals & Dreams with a Vision Board

“Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world”

The sirens have some big goals – for the podcast as well as personal or other professional goals. In episode 8, we dove into the book “The Secret,” and in episode 12, we took a Manifestation Babe workshop with Kathrin Zenkina. We had all heard about vision boards, but only one of us (guest siren Liz) has ever done one.

Well, until episode 59, that is! For this episode, the sirens reached out to Rachel Letham, Success Coach.

Rachel Letham, Vision Board Queen

Rachel has an online Vision Board Course through which she teaches all about vision boards. The activities in her course make vision board creation feel natural and easy through a step-by-step process! After taking her course, the sirens dubbed her: Vision Board Queen!

So, what is a vision board and why should you create one?

According to Psychology Today in their article: What is a Vision Board and Why Make One?, a vision board is a collection of images and words that represent goals and dreams.

Some say that vision boards are a powerful manifestation tool. If you’re a believer in manifestation, there’s a good chance you’re already familiar with Vision Boards.

Even if you don’t believe in manifestation, or the law of attraction, studies suggest that the process of reflecting on your dreams, identifying your goals, and creating a visual representation of them has a positive impact on your well-being and success. Do we really need more of a reason?

Creating vision boards helps us set and keep our eyes on our goals. And Rachel’s course admonishes us to set REALLY BIG goals (which is just what the sirens did).

In his book: Built to Last (the follow-up of Good to Great), Jim Collins calls this type of goal a B-Hag (pronounced BeeHag), which is short for Big Hairy Audacious Goal.

Displaying our Vision Boards (and truly proclaiming our B-HAGs) is a little uncomfortable – it’s out of our comfort zones. And, in true siren style, this is exactly what we’re doing. Check them out:

  • Releasing a coloring book on the magic date of 2/22/22 (guess how many coloring pages it will have…22).
  • Writing a book.
  • Becoming a voice actor.
  • Self care.
  • JL Aerial Views will take off as a business.
  • Moving closer to family.
  • Budgeting and estate planning.
  • Siren Soapbox will be a household name.
  • Making a positive impact.
  • Speaking upfront of my online collective in our weekly global meeting.

And some of the B-HAGs you see on these boards are already happening!

Go ahead…we challenge you. Dream Big! Set Goals! And create your own Vision Board to help visualize them, proclaim them, and move forward – one Yes at a time! If you need a little nudge in the right direction, or want to understand the process better, we recommend Rachel Letham and her online Vision Board Course.

See it and make it happen!
