For episode 62 of Siren Soapbox, the sirens experimented with psychedelics!
(Really? I hope you’re not thinking we’re exploring drugs…you know us better than that!)
The sirens tried the app: Lumenate. This is an app that uses your phone’s flashlight flashing at different speeds and patterns. It claims to provide a psychedelic trip without the drugs. They promise to “help you explore your subconscious thoughts and gain valuable insights.”
Here’s what we experienced:
- Red colors, purple colors, and white light.
- A cartoon face.
- A kaleidoscope of color.
- Colors emanating from the middle and working outward in a mesmerizing display of brain art.
- Deep meditation state (almost like being hypnotized).
- Fractal shapes and butterflies.
- Deep Purple with aqua flecks.
- Clarity on overcoming barriers to goals.
- Sudden super-puzzle-solving skills.
The sirens all liked the app and agreed that it made meditation easier. If you are interested in meditating, and have been struggling to get to the point that you feel it is beneficial, we recommend trying this app!
