Artist Trading Cards
The Sirens were challenged to learn all about the hobby of creating and trading Artist Trading Cards!
The Challenge: “Dear Sirens: ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) are handmade trading cards (2.5 x 3.5 inches) that you trade with other artists. I don’t know about you guys but I don’t generally like sharing my art work because I’m worried about other people looking at it and judging it but I’ve really gotten into ATCs. There is even a website, atcsforall.com, where you can trade with other artists all over. It brought me out of my comfort zone and was a lot of fun! I just thought I’d let you know about it if you haven’t already heard of it =D“
If you want to make art with us (and maybe even trade with us), here are the steps:
- Create original art on 2.5 x 3.5 inch paper
- Join a trading group. You can check out the website mentioned above, or these Facebook groups (you’ll find the sirens in the Facebook groups):
- Post your art and start swapping.

The Challenge: Visit a local brewery and learn everything you can about the brewery. Take a tour and learn how they make their brews… Then end the visit with a flight of their brews and share which one you like the best.
If you want to learn with us, here are the questions to ask:
- Start with their story – how did the brewery originate & come to exist?
- Do they use ingredients or processes that make them unique?
- Do they specialize/focus on certain flavors?
- Do they have a mission outside of selling beer that gives them a connection with the local community?
